Fairport Harbor is a village along Lake Erie at the mouth of the Grand River. The population was 3,180 at the 200 census. It is home to two lighthouses. One operated by the United States Coast Guard and the other operated by the Fairport Harbor Historical Society. Fairport is also the home of the Finnish Heritage Museum. Fairport is a popular
destination for seasonal activities. Fairport Lakefront Park is operated by Lake Metroparks and there are nearly a dozen protected marinas and launch facilities for boating and fishing.
